David Goldberg


David Goldberg is Chairman of Endemol North America.

Serving previously as President and CEO of Endemol USA, Goldberg launched the company in 2000 and quickly established it as one of the leading independent program suppliers in the US. Among the companies many successes are Deal or No Deal, the Emmy Award winning series, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Fear Factor, a fixture on NBC for six seasons, and Big Brother, which has completed ten seasons on CBS. In 2008, the company launched a first run strip version of Deal or No Deal and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition premiere in off network strip syndication. Additionally, Endemol USA premiered the new reality series “Wipeout,” which became the number one new show of the summer.

In addition to its many successful television properties under Goldberg, the company has aggressively pursued new ways to get content to consumers through digital media, including the smash success of the “Lucky Case Game,” an interactive text messaging challenge that runs in conjunction with “Deal or No Deal,” as well as numerous new properties that maximize the value of delivering content across multiple platforms.

With the help of the SVP of Mergers and Acquisitions Ron Milkes, Goldberg has brought new companies to the Endemol USA brand. Expanding Endemol’s reach into the world of reality comedy and music Goldberg secured 51 Minds Entertainment. Extending beyond the world of reality, the company acquired independent film company Original Media, producers of hit indie films Half Nelson and The Squid and the Whale and the upcoming scripted drama, The Philanthropist, for NBC. In 2003, the company acquired New York based True Entertainment.

Prior to launching Endemol USA, Goldberg served as a programming and development executive at Time Warner television unit Telepictures.” He worked as a development executive for Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment and, before that, served as a freelance director and associate director.
