Tim Gibbons



Tim Gibbons, award-winning television and film Producer and Director, is Executive Producer of HBO’s comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm.

While on Curb, he’s won a Golden Globe, two Producers Guild of America’s Danny Thomas Producer of the Year awards, two DGA awards, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival’s Outstanding Producer of the Year – Comedy (plus numerous other awards), and has been nominated for four primetime Emmys for Best Comedy.

His company, Invasion TV is in various stages of development on a slate of projects, for network, cable and the Internet, which he is writing, directing and/or producing.

During Curb’s hiatus in 2006, he was Co-Executive Producer of HBO’s single camera comedy, The Unsuccessful Thug, and Executive Producer and Director of A&E’s hidden camera reality series, Spying on Myself. In 2004, Gibbons produced the pilot for HBO’s comedy, The Comeback.

Before Curb, he was Producer and Director of the hidden camera sketch comedy The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, and was Supervising Producer and Director for Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for several years.

A former Chairman of the American Association of Producers, Gibbons is a lifetime honorary member of the Producers Guild of America’s National Board of Directors (six years as an elected Director). Prior to that he was President of the PGA (with Kathleen Kennedy), and was instrumental in the merger of the AAP and the PGA.

He is also a Governor of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, for which he’s also on the Primetime Awards Committee and the Producers Peer Group Executive Committee.

Gibbons started his career in television in 1976 with four years at Dick Clark Productions, and through the years has worked on more than 125 productions, including a four-year stint as Executive in Charge of Production for First-Run Syndication for Lorimar/Telepictures.
