Producers Guild of America’s Produced By: New York Sets Opening Speakers
Netflix’s Scott Stuber will open Produced By: New York with Imagine Entertainment’s Ron Howard
Los Angeles (September 4, 2019) – The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today key changes, in addition to the opening speakers for its 6th annual Produced By: New York on Saturday, November 9 at Florence Gould Hall in New York City. This year’s gathering arrives squarely during the pivotal awards race that will bring a diverse array of speakers, spanning the season’s buzziest films.
Scott Stuber, head of Netflix Film, will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 Produced By: New York conference and will be in conversation with Ron Howard, the Oscar-winning director and Co-founder and Chairman of Imagine Entertainment.
Stuber will discuss with Howard what it’s like to build a new film studio, find global stories, discover new talent and be a key player in the ever-evolving ways in which entertainment is consumed by audiences around the world.
Additionally, for the first time ever, Produced By: New York will host eight unique masterclasses, each providing attendees a deep dive into the art and craft behind some of the biggest and boldest contenders in the 2019 awards season.

This year’s event is designed to offer attendees intimate access to key industry leaders, veteran producers, and creative collaborators who are helping define the future of producing in the age of streaming and platform proliferation. And to cap off the day, attendees will have the opportunity to connect and network with their peers and industry leaders at a reception open to all Produced By: New York attendees.
