Jessica Lacy


Jessica Lacy is a partner and head of the international and independent film department at ICM Partners.  She leads her department in structuring and arranging financing, packaging and securing distribution for independent films.  She has brokered distribution deals for many of the most acclaimed films of the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and SXSW.

Jessica most recent sales at the Sundance Film Festival were among the most significant, each selling in the mid-high 7-figure range including Jennifer Fox’s much lauded film The Tale starring Laura Dern, which sold to HBO for an awards campaign, as well as Marc Turtletaub’s film Puzzle starring Kelly Macdonald, which sold to Sony Pictures Classics for an awards campaign and the Zellner Brothers film Damsel starring Mia Wasikowska and Robert Pattinson.

Other noteworthy sales titles include, Sean Baker’s award-winning film The Florida Project and Tangerine, Raoul Peck’s award-winning film I Am Not Your Negro, Samuel Maoz’s award-winning film Foxtrot, Jim Jarmusch’s films Paterson and Only Lovers Left Alive, Spike Lee’s film Chi-Raq, The Daniels’ Swiss Army Man, Eleanor Coppola’s film Paris Can Wait, Joseph Cedar’s film Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, Woody Allen’s films Wonder Wheel and Café Society, Beyoncé’s Emmy Award-nominated film Lemonade as well as Nancy Buirski’s documentary The Rape of Recy Taylor, which Oprah recently mentioned in her Cecil B. de Mille recipient award speech at the 2018 Golden Globes.

Jessica takes pride in the strong work she does in supporting female filmmakers, structuring financing and distribution for their films, in addition to attaching strong female actors in leading roles. Jessica put together and sold films for over 20 female directors in the last year including Eleanor Coppola, Jennifer Fox, Jordana Spiro, Sian Heder, Maya Forbes, Karyn Kusama, Sally Potter, Katie Holmes, Clea Duvall, Katherine Diekmann, Noel Wells, Olivia Milch, Hannah Fidell, Julia Hart, Sara Driver, Theresa Rebeck, Meredith Danluck, Deb Shoval, Susan Johnson and Miranda Bailey, amongst others.

Additionally, Jessica has worked with iconic filmmakers like Spike Lee, Brian DePalma, Peter Weir, Jim Jarmusch, Barry Levinson, John Turturro, David Mamet and Woody Allen, and lauded independent artists such as Sean Baker, the Zellner brothers, Nash Edgerton, Charlie McDowell and the Duplass Brothers, for whom Jessica negotiated their overall deal at Netflix.
