As President of Physical Production at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Peter Oillataguerre oversees all aspects of budgeting, scheduling and day-to-day operations for each of MGM’s feature films and television shows. On the feature side, this has included such films as Tomb Raider, The Magnificent Seven, Creed, Barbershop 3, Spectre, The Hobbit Trilogy and Skyfall. For television, this has included such shows as The Handmaid’s Tale, Fargo, and Vikings.
Peter began his career at the Walt Disney Company before joining Spyglass Entertainment as Director of Production and Finance where he worked on such films as Shanghai Noon, Keeping The Faith, and The Count of Monte Cristo.
Following Spyglass, Peter served as VP of Production at Universal Pictures where he was involved with such films as The Scorpion King, Red Dragon, Intolerable Cruelty, Along Came Polly, Van Helsing, Friday Night Lights, The Interpreter, Meet The Fockers, and Doom.
When Spyglass Entertainment partners Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum became co-chairmen and CEOs of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios in 2010, Peter was brought in to lead the new Physical Production team. MGM has since had successive years of profitability, pulling the studio out of bankruptcy and bringing it back to its former prominence.
