Eric Orme is the Head of Amazon Video Direct, a new self-service program for creators and storytellers to make their video content available to Amazon customers. Orme oversees the global strategy, business, and platform development for the program.

Prior to his role at Amazon Video Direct, Orme served as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Inform, a personalized video content delivery and monetization company. Orme was responsible for all elements of the company’s product-to-market process, from strategic technology and product development to fostering relationships with publishers and content providers.

From 2007-2012, Orme was Chief Technology Officer for Remark Media, a global digital media company that owns and operates innovative digital media properties around the world. During his tenure at Remark Media, Orme handled the technical, product, and editorial operations across the United States, China, and Brazil. While there, he also led large platform initiatives for multiple global media companies such as HowStuffWorks.com, Discovery Channel, DoctorOz.com, Sharecare.com, Food & Wine, and Curiosity.com.

Orme has also held engineering leadership roles in various Atlanta startups including Web.com (formerly Interland), StarVoice, PCDI, among others.

Orme has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Berry College.
