David Hamlin is a multiple Emmy Award winning filmmaker and Executive Producer. He’s responsible for 250+ award-winning Specials, Series, Digital Short Form, and VR experiences for the National Geographic Channel, NBC, PBS, USAToday Network, and other broadcasters and NGO’s. For 17 years, Hamlin was on staff at National Geographic where his work focused on adventure, natural history, science and conservation. His landmark series, Great Migrations, remains the highest rated Natural History program in the history of National Geographic Television. Recently, Hamlin has been exploring VR production. His Dem. Republic of Congo VR project, The Protectors, was co-produced by Kathryn Bigelow  (The Hurt Locker), National Geographic and Here Be Dragons. It premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and was introduced by Hillary Clinton. Hamlin is currently Executive Producer of VRtually There, an unprecedented weekly VR series produced by the USAToday Network and YouTube. As EP of VRtually There, he has created 75 VR films in the last 8 months.
