Hanny Patel

Hanny Patel is Vice President of Video Marketing for AT&T Entertainment Group. In this role, Patel is responsible for driving revenue across all video platforms including DIRECTV and U-verse. She is responsible for marketing products and services that generate approximately $34 billion in annual revenue including content marketing, product marketing, original content and diversity marketing, sponsorship activations, video strategy, and content curation.

Patel joined the company in 2011 and through 2015 had delivered double-digit compound annual revenue growth on the pay-per-view and VOD movie business. In addition, she created the DIRECTV CINEMA Exclusive Premieres program, and has secured the acquisition of over 50 films that premiered exclusively on DIRECTV 30 days prior to theatrical release. In 2014, she oversaw the launch of Yaveo, DIRECTV’s first OTT service and the industry’s first Spanish-language OTT offering, and in 2015 she assumed responsibility for the Premiums and Sports businesses. In 2016, she added Product Marketing and Video Strategy to her responsibilities.

Prior to joining DIRECTV, Patel was vice president for Sales & Marketing at Showtime Networks.

Patel holds a BS in Communications from Cornell University, and is based at AT&T Entertainment Group’s El Segundo, California headquarters.
